At Mel's Math Tutoring Services, We strive to create a positive and structured learning experience. To ensure all students receive the best possible service, the following cancellation policy is in place:

1. 24-Hour Cancellation or Rescheduling Policy

- If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will incur the full session fee. This is necessary as we dedicate that time specifically to your child and cannot always fill the slot at short notice.

2. Rescheduling Without Penalty

- Any session canceled with more than 24 hours’ notice can be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time without any additional charges.

- Rescheduled sessions must be booked within one week of the original appointment whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, the session will be forfeited unless discussed otherwise.

3. Emergency Cancellations

- We understand that unexpected situations such as illness or family emergencies can arise. In the case of a genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible.

- Emergency cancellations made with short notice (less than 24 hours) may be rescheduled without penalty, provided we can agree on a suitable time. However, please limit these occurrences to rare or unavoidable situations.

4. No-Shows

- If a student fails to attend a scheduled session without providing any prior notice (a “no-show”), the full session fee will be charged.

- If a student misses a session without notifying us more than once, we may require prepayment for future sessions to secure their spot.

5. Late Arrivals

- If your child is late to a session, we will do our best to accommodate the remaining time. However, sessions will end at the originally scheduled time to ensure other appointments are not affected.

- Repeated late arrivals may result in a charge for the full session fee without the opportunity to make up the lost time.

6. Tutor Cancellations

- In the rare event that we need to cancel a session, we will provide as much notice as possible.

- You will have the option to either reschedule the session at a time that works best for you or receive a full refund for the canceled session.

7. Regular Communication & Flexibility

- We aim to work with families and understand the challenges of balancing schedules. If you anticipate ongoing conflicts or need additional flexibility, please feel free to discuss this with us in advance so that we can find a solution that best supports your child’s learning.
